Release of European Public Opinion Survey

Collective Actions and

Third Party Litigation Funding

The U.S. Chamber Institute for Legal Reform (ILR), AmCham EU, BusinessEurope, and EUROCHAMBRES are pleased to invite you to the release of ILR’s European public opinion survey on collective (class) actions and third party litigation funding (TPLF). The release event will take place in Brussels on Thursday 28 September at 09.00.

Vera Jourová, EU Commissioner for Justice and Consumers Affairs, will give the keynote address.

ILR commissioned this survey in six EU Member States to provide data on consumer support for safeguards in collective actions and TPLF, and potential EU action. The survey is being released in conjunction with the European Commission’s review of its 2013 Recommendation on Collective Redress. In September 2017, the Commission will issue its review report and based on its findings the Commission is expected to propose EU legislation on collective actions.
