On Tuesday, 18 May, AmCham EU hosted a Plenary meeting from the Digital Economy Committee on technological sovereignty: what role for the transatlantic relationship? After a short networking session and the monthly update by representatives from the US Mission to the EU, we discussed this important topic with Anna-Michelle Asimakopoulou, MEP (EPP, EL); Marco-Alexander Breit, Head of Task Force on Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies, Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy, Germany; Michael Sullivan, Counsellor for Economic Affairs, US Mission to the EU; and Jean-Marc Leclerc (IBM), Chair, Digital Economy Committee, AmCham EU who moderated the discussion.

During the internal part, our two new members - Boston Consulting Group and Lubrizol - gave short introduction to their activities and candidates for the Board positions of Chair of the Communications Group, Member-at-Large (corporate) and Member-at-Large (lawyer/consultant) presented themselves. You can find the one-pagers of all candidates on the Daily Brief. The election/confirmation process from all three positions opened Wednesday, 19 May.
