On Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 November 2019, AmCham EU attended the NATO Industry Forum taking place in Washington D.C., organised by NATO and the US Department of Defence. The two-day conference brought together industry, NATO representatives, military practitioners and academia to discuss a wide range of topics including emerging technology trends. Read more

From Friday, 8 to Sunday, 10 November 2019, Agnese Danelon, Vice-Chair, European Parliament Outreach Task Force, AmCham EU together with Nadia Allen, Policy Adviser, AmCham EU attended the 30th European Green Party Council in Tampere, Finland. The event brought together delegates, including Prime Ministers, European Commissioners, party leaders, decision-makers, delegates and individual members from member parties all over Europe, as well as affiliated organisations, guests and press.

On Thursday, 24 October, The Fletcher School, George Town University, Columbia University and Johns Hopkins University organised an information session for students interested in pursuing US graduate programmes in international affairs. Susan Danger, CEO, AmCham EU, highlighted AmCham EU's role as a bridge-builder as she took the opportunity to speak to the students about transatlantic hot topics. AmCham EU was pleased to welcome and host Daniela Coleman, Director of Admissions and Recruiting, Johns Hopkins University SAIS in Europe, and an AmCham EU alumna.

A delegation from AmCham EU’s European Parliament Outreach Task Force attended the 40th ALDE Party Congress in Athens, Greece from 24 October to 26 October. The event brought together approximately 800 delegates, including Prime Ministers, European Commissioners, party leaders, decision-makers, delegates and individual members from member parties all over Europe, as well as affiliated organisations, guests and press.

Preparing for a No-Deal Brexit

AmCham EU was represented at the 2019 World Trade Organization (WTO) Public Forum in Geneva, Switzerland. The Public Forum is the WTO’s largest annual outreach event, which provides a platform for participants to discuss the latest developments in world trade and to propose ways of enhancing the multilateral trading system. The event attracted over 3,000 representatives from civil society, academia, business, the media, governments, parliamentarians and inter-governmental organisations.
