A safe, trusted and open cloud are key to economic growth

AmCham EU believes that the Trusted Cloud Europe is an important step in ensuring secure cloud services across Europe for the benefit of companies and citizens. Cloud computing has the potential to boost jobs and growth whilst delivering
affordable and cost effective computing solutions. This would be especially beneficial to SMES by helping them grow without having to make large IT infrastructure investments.

The non-legislative and voluntary nature of this initiative and the call for reducing data location restrictions will facilitate cross-border data flows which are the lifeline of the 21st century economy and ensure the competitiveness of the European market.
