Susan Danger welcomed in Kiev by AmCham Ukraine
Last week, Susan Danger, CEO, AmCham EU travelled to Kiev to participate in a series of events organised by the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine.
Susan was the guest of AmCham Ukraine’s Women’s Executive Leadership Development Initiative (WELDI), where she spoke about leadership in the Brussels context and the challenges still facing women leaders. The event was attended by over 80 female executives.
She gave a speech at the annual AmCham Ukraine Members Appreciation Reception in front of some 400 CEOs, government representatives, diplomats and Ukrainian business people. Alongside Volodymyr Groysman, Prime Minister of Ukraine, and Marie Yovanovitch, US Ambassador to Ukraine, Susan spoke about the challenges the European Union faced in the past 12 months, and how business and governments are working together to overcome them. Amongst other activities in Ukraine, Susan met with several of AmCham Ukraine’s sectoral committees and spoke about AmCham EU’s priorities in areas like healthcare, environment, energy and taxation. She also sat down with the AmCham Ukraine staff to discuss best practices from AmCham EU that could be taken on board by our Ukrainian counterpart.
