January Plenary meeting focuses on the state of the Capital Markets Union project
AmCham EU’s January Plenary meeting took place on Tuesday 26 January and focused on the Capital Markets Union.
The event featured a panel discussion on the role of the financial services industry in realising the objectives of the Capital Markets Union project with:
Niall Bohan, Head of Unit, Capital Markets Union, Directorate-General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union (DG FISMA), European Commission;
Neena Gill, Member of the European Parliament (S&D, UK);
Dörte Höppner, Chief Executive, Invest Europe;
Tom Clark, Executive Counsel, Government Affairs and Policy, GE;
Jan Frederic Eger, Manager, Head of Financial Services Government and Regulatory Affairs, Thomson Reuters and Vice-Chair of the Financial Services Committee, AmCham EU, moderated the discussion.
During the lunch, a keynote address was provided by John Berrigan, Deputy Director-General, Directorate-General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union (DG FISMA), European Commission.
