Financial Services travels to Frankfurt and Strasbourg

This week, the Financial Services committee is in Frankfurt and Strasbourg for the last FIN delegation of this Parliamentary mandate. The main focus of the trip will be advocating on the plethora of proposals still on the table, currently or soon to be entering trialogue negotiations and that Parliament is seeking to conclude before April. Given the Brexit vote on Tuesday, the delegation also be discussing with regulators what a potential no-deal scenario might mean and what the next steps are. Finally, the delegation will also try to get a sense of what MEPs are planning for the next Parliament.

On Monday, the delegation will have a joint-lunch with AmCham Germany, with guests from the Bundesbank and BaFin, and a meeting with senior officials at the European Central Bank. On Tuesday, the delegation will be meeting a number of MEPs in Strasbourg, followed by a dinner.
