European Electronic Communications Code briefing offers views from industry and Commission
Friday 10 February -- In a technical briefing for member state attachés, European Parliament assistants and advisors, AmCham EU's Digital Economy Committee delivered industry views on the European Commission’s proposal for a new European Electronic Communications Code.
Participants delved into three key issues for AmCham EU: definitions of electronic communication services; governance and harmonization; and differentiating B2B vs. B2C services. Each discussion offered perspectives from industry, the European Commission and was followed by a Q&A session. The European Commission perspective was given by Peter Eberl, Deputy Head of Unit in Electronic Communications Policy from European Commission DG Connect.
