AmCham EU Executive Council convenes in Brussels for series of high-level meetings
The AmCham EU Executive Council was in Brussels last week for a number of high-level meetings with key EU stakeholders. The Council engaged with Pieter de Gooijer, Dutch Ambassador to the EU, Xavier Prats Monné, DG Education and Culture, Declan Kelleher, Irish Ambassador to the EU, Richard Bruton TD, Irish Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation and Thomas Wieser, President of the Euro Working Group.
A series of meetings also took place at the European Business Summit on Thursday 7 May where the Executive Council met with Commissioners Vella, Moedas, Moscovici as well as Wilhelm Molterer, Vice President of the European Investment Bank.
A number of the Executive Council members also participated on panels at the EBS including Christian Morales, Vice-President, EMEA, Intel and Marco Comastri, President, EMEA, CA Technologies on the Digital Single Market panel with Vice-President of the European Commission Andrus Ansip; Julian Nebreda, President, EMEA and CIS, AES, on the Energy Union panel with European Commission Vice-President Maros Sefcovic and Aongus Hegarty, President, EMEA, Dell on the Employment and Skills panel with Commissioner Marianne Thyssen.
