Tidying up tech policy
On Tuesday, 30 April, we looked at what’s next for digital policy following five years of intense legislative work. Our panelists explored the regulatory landscape and shared their thoughts on avoiding overlap between legislation. After the panel discussion, Matthias Jørgensen, Head of Unit, USA and Canada, Directorate-General for Trade, European Commission shared his views on how the EU can make it easier to promote innovation and technological growth.
The panel was moderated by Jean-Marc Leclerc (IBM), Chair, Digital Economy Committee, AmCham EU and featured Andreea Gulacsi, Director, Policy and External Affairs, European Committee for Standardization (CEN) and the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC), Dragos Tudorache, MEP (RE, RO) and Kim Tumirano, Deputy Director, Office of Bilateral Affairs, International Information and Communications Policy, Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy, U.S. Department of State.
