The secret ingredients to inclusion
On Tuesday, 6 December, AmCham EU hosted a high-level diversity and inclusion gastronomic lunch to mark the 30th anniversary of the International Day of People with Disabilities. The lunch took place at 65 degrés – a restaurant driving change by employing people with disabilities – and featured a keynote speech from Helena Dalli, European Commissioner for Equality.
Restaurant co-founder Valentin Cogels also took the floor and told the restaurant’s story while AmCham EU members and stakeholders from the European institutions had the chance to discuss what the private sector is doing to make the world more equitable and accessible, and how the public sector can continue to support this vital work. Read more about how AmCham EU members are working towards equality in our Uniting for diversity brochure, which highlights 22 industry examples of practices aiming to build a more inclusive society.
