Update on EU institutions outreach 2019

Following the European elections this May, AmCham EU, led by its European Parliament Outreach Task Force, has already conducted outreach to new and returning MEPs. In June we sent all MEPs welcome letters in their national languages, along with the ‘welcome tool’ introducing AmCham EU and our work, as well as what we can offer them through our business expertise, policy positions, events and more. In addition, AmCham EU staff travelled to one of the first Strasbourg plenary sessions to meet new MEPs and attend several events. This summer, we sent out invitations to key MEPs and other officials for our annual Gala, and we look forward to doing further outreach ahead of our Big Strasbourg delegation at the end of November. Throughout the autumn, AmCham EU will also engage with the incoming European Commission officials.
