Reaching new heights: Executive Council engages with EU top leadership
Amidst trade tensions and global uncertainty, senior business leaders from AmCham EU’s Executive Council convened in Brussels for their Spring Plenary on Tuesday, 8 and Wednesday, 9 April. Featuring a remarkable lineup of EU policymakers, including Presidents António Costa, Roberta Metsola and Ursula von der Leyen of the European Council, Parliament and Commission, the programme showcased AmCham EU’s unparalleled access to the highest levels of EU leadership.
Also taking part in the programme were Maroš Šefčovič, Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security; Norman Thatcher Scharpf, Chargé d'Affaires, US Mission to the EU; and Michael Hager, Head of Cabinet of Valdis Dombrovskis, Commissioner for Economy and Productivity. At a time of serious stress on the transatlantic relationship, these engagements reaffirmed AmCham EU’s role as a strategic bridge between the EU and the US and its position as the leading voice for American companies in Europe.
