How AmCham Ukraine is promoting women entrepreneurs with EMPOWER HER
How can women entrepreneurs make their mark and gain a foothold in the US? This is the question AmCham Ukraine looked to answer during their EMPOWER HER webinar on Wednesday, April 5. Equipping women entrepreneurs with the tools they need to tap into the vast US market is just one example of the many topics covered by EMPOWER HER. From the opening remarks to the conclusion, attendees were informed of how to secure funding for their budding enterprises and what they can do to expand into the American market.
Opening the session, Susan Danger, CEO, AmCham EU and Chair, AmChams in Europe; Marisa Lago, US Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade and Oksana Markarova, Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States, reminded us of the benefits of gender parity and how to achieve it. During the session on Tools to Expand Your Business in the United States, participants heard from Benedikt Berlemann, Director and General Manager, EU Expansion, Amazon; Tetyana Gryshchenko, Deputy Chief of Party, Competitive Economy Program, USAID; Artem Palyutin, Chief Development Officer, CASSONE - Furniture for Hospitality & Retail; Anastasiia Romanova, CEO and Founder, Mosqiiter Inc.; Stephanie Rothman, Investment Consultant, Portfolio Manager Europe and Eurasia, SelectUSA and Justyna Swica, Senior International Trade Specialist, SABIT Program, US Department of Commerce. Khadija Ghazi, Head of Partnerships, Draper Ecosystem and Kate Isler, CEO, TheWMarketplace then covered how to secure capital during Telling Your Story: Pitching, Marketing to Build Networks and Attract Funding.
