Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Brussels, 8 March 2016 – On the occasion of International Women’s Day and this year’s theme of stepping up measures to deliver greater gender parity, the American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union (AmCham EU) would like to reiterate its support for gender diversity in the workplace.

There is an unmistakable tie between gender diversity in the workplace and financial performance, innovation, employee satisfaction and corporate social responsibility. Towards this end, AmCham EU has created a Gender Initiatives Task Force. The group’s priorities include inclusiveness in the workplace, gender balance, corporate social responsibility and workplace best practices. The Task Force also provides a discussion and networking platform for decision-makers and members of AmCham EU.

Susan Danger, Managing Director, AmCham EU, stated ‘Gender diversity in the workplace is critical to keeping business relevant and competitive in today’s evolving world. AmCham EU is proud to contribute to the ongoing dialogue to progress towards a more gender-balanced landscape.’
